Square Saturday

An Hour of Fresh Air

Welcome to this collection of images from Saturday, April 25th. This particular series of "Saturday Squares" is a reflection of a quiet, sunlit hour found during a challenging time.

For the past couple of weeks, I have been staying in Dumfries at the home of my brother-in-law, John, while he has been quite unwell. Fortunately, my wife Lee has joined me here for the last few days, allowing us to take turns stepping out to find a bit of fresh air and exercise.

This past Saturday, I headed out for about an hour to soak in the April sunshine. The images in this gallery were all captured during that walk.

Technical Note: To capture the specific mood of the day, these images were shot in-camera using the L Monochrome D profile for its deep, textured tones, though I have also retained the RAW files to preserve the full depth of the scenes.

I hope these squares offer a glimpse into the calm and light I found in Dumfries this weekend.
